What?

The Offcuts Drawer is my podcast about writers and writing which has just been awarded Honoree in the international Webby Awards 2021 for the BEST ARTS & CULTURE PODCAST.

Successful writers share the contents of their bottom drawer – the bits of writing they never finished, had rejected or still keep hold of for nostalgic reasons. Then I choose the best bits, take them away and get actors to perform them. And finally the writer and I listen back to them and they share the stories behind them. Why didn’t they work? What were they trying to achieve? What did the piece actually lead to?
